This surname comes to me through my Mother-In-Law Florence Emily Reynolds (Nee Steatham).

Although it quite normal to have rare surnames in ones family tree, it very unlikely to find one where the origin of the surname is able to be determined absolutely. I have researched the Steatham surname more than any other and I have a complete of catalogue information on the history of the surname and nearly all the descendents. This includes most of the St Catherine's records from 1837 to the present.
